Katowice, formerly the core of Poland’s coal mining industry, has transformed into a rapidly developing city where traditional heavy industry coexists with contemporary architecture, culture, and technological innovation.

For almost twenty years, this Congress has served as one of the most significant and impactful economic events in Central Europe, offering a platform where ideas and initiatives take shape and directly influence economic progress in Poland and throughout Europe.

Three days filled with in-depth discussions

Each iteration of the Congress features three days packed with rigorous debates, encounters, and conversations centered on the most urgent issues today — including geopolitics, sovereignty, the energy transition, as well as advancements in technology and investment.

This year’s agenda highlights major topics such as Europe’s geopolitical challenges, sovereignty and competitiveness, the energy shift, investment strategies, digitization, and emerging technological trends.

Previous events have drawn approximately 1,300 speakers, over 13,500 participants, and have hosted more than 200 debates, with similar participation anticipated for this edition.

In addition to the official schedule, thousands of informal meetings and exchanges occur, connecting visions with real-world applications and fostering valuable business partnerships.

The new generation views economic growth not only through expansion but also via social accountability, energy and digital transformations, and a refreshed commitment to sustainability.

The Congress will gather business executives, governmental officials, and specialists.

Speakers include Jerzy Buzek, former Prime Minister of Poland and ex-President of the European Parliament, alongside Bogdan Benczak, president of PZU. Government representatives like Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalisation, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, and Katarzyna Kotula, Minister for Equality, are also set to participate.

Notable business figures attending comprise Michał Bolesławski, president of ING Bank Śląski, Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost, and Sebastian Kulczyk, an international investor. The list also includes Mark Brzeziński, former US ambassador to Poland and UNIMOT Board of Strategic Advisers member, along with Guy Standing, professor at SOAS University of London.

Euronews will be among the patrons supporting the event.
